Easter 2011

Easter was so much fun this year with another member of the Stokes Klan!

We did our annual easter egg hunt at Aunty Tons for just the 2 boys:) She's always spoiling them!

My 3 boys woke up easter morning to their packed Easter baskets and Too Tall Chocolate EASter bunnies, then ended the weekend off with the Easter celebration and cousin easter egg hunt at Grandma Irenes. So much fun with the family and lots of memories!!!

Legend at 11 months

I can't believe it!!! This little Legend is going to be 1 yrs. old next month!!! So crazy how time flies. He is such a joy in our lives and I love the brother relationship Major and him share. I love his personality and how different he is from his brother (i love them both) its just fun to see their differences in things.

Legend now has 12 teeth, he can almost walk on his own, he can say "da da", and he signs "more" and "cookie"! This little boy always has a smile on his face but definitley knows what he wants. He is a total mama's boy, and is very independent, he still hates baby food and would rather eat what Big people eat!!!

I am so grateful to be his Mama, I Love you Legend

ok...im still trying to figure this laptop out....forgive me...

Major loves football....really though he loves every sport!!! He can catch, throw, kick, run just as good as any other 5 yr. old.....he's only 2:) Andy taught him a 3 point stance when he turned 1. So he's been practicing for a while now!!! I can't believe it, Major is going to be able to play sports soon. My sister told me he could enroll in soccer this year when he turns 3.....crazy!!!

I think Im getting old.....I can't wait to watch him play sports!!!

According to Andy he's really good at air hockey!!!! Know of any air hockey leagues? lol

When we go outside to play catch or kick. Major insist on wearing pads, cleats and his helmet but we couldn't find it this day!!!

Dixie Rebels still Undefeated!

Just a little update with our 2011 Dixie Rebels Semi-Pro Football Season!!!

Basically , we are still undefeated and hoping to stay that way!!!!

If you haven't caught a game yet, your missing out!!! Its a reallly a great time and lots of fun!

What more can you ask for? A great football game, food, free prizes, music and great entertainment!!!! Come on out we have 2 more Home Games and then the Playoffs begin!

Books, Books and more Books

Major loves to read to Legend! Major as a baby has always loved books and would just sit for however long while you read to him. Seriously, at bed time we would read many books before bed and Legend is the complete opposite! We can barely get through the 1st couple pages. He's very antsy and would rather eat the book!

My darling Valentine made me this awesome frame!!! I love it , it's totally different and totally me!!! He knows me so well!!!

"Help Im alive" Major Style

So for all those who have seen my Kalamity show this past year or have had the chance to see our Zombie dance "Help" theres a part in the very beginning that I am sitting by myself with my eyes shut , swaying side to side....a little creepy?...yes, but oooohhh soo good:)

The other day in the car that song comes on in the cd player and Major says "Mom , I dance" and I said "you know the dance" Major: "yeah mom I do dance" Mom: "ok , lets see it" so I started it over and, in his car seat cute Major closes his eyes and sways back and forth!!!!
Ha Ha Ha Ha I just started laughing I couldn't believe he remembered it....and pick up on that:) It was a priceless moment!

Legends 1st Crack up!!!

Yes, I know Im probably gonna go a little video crazy for a bit because Im super stoked about these videos that Ive been hoarding on my camera for soo long!!!

My little Legend is like his Daddy and doesn't' laugh very easily....well unless its his Big Brother Major being silly. For some reason Major could just smile at Legend and Legend thinks its hilarious! At Halloween last year we figured it out that Legend is Majors #1 fan!!!

Signing Time

So....I finally have a laptop that allows me to upload videos from my camera:) yay!!!!

Im totally stoked about it and I have all these videos on my camera from forever ago that, I just have to share that I think will bring a smile to anyones face:)

So of course with your 1st child you teach them everything that you possibly can because its new and exciting! With me on the other hand my Major has always been WAY BIGGER than average so I've always wanted him to be smarter than his age since he looks older than his age! So in his super baby months I did everything with him, including sign language by 9 months he would communicate "milk" and "eat" I loved it because we could at least understand him a little bit!!!! People thought I was crazy but it was awesome and I knew it would help him develop better mentally and physically!!! I know Im crazy...

Now Major is helping me teach Legend!!!!

I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to choreograph the opening number for this pageant! It was a blast and I was able to spend 6 hrs. straight with some talented, amazing, dedicated mothers who stand for good things!!!

They were all so nice and willing to learn!!!! They all were very inspiring for thier strong beliefs and all looked great doing it!

KAOS

So along with Kalamity I just created KAOS , Kalamity's sister team!!! Its basically a younger Kalamity!!! High School age girls who dance and dedicate to help families in need as well!!!


They will have the same opportunity as Kalamity and use their talent of dance as a service!!!


So last week I held auditions at The Vault and was amazed at the turnout we had! We had just as many girls tryout as high schools do!!!! It was awesome and the intensity level was great!


These girls really showed up and brought their A Game to be apart of somethin BIG! All of the girls did awesome and I am so proud of all of them!!! Thankyou for all of your support and sharing your love of dance with me!

The Vault!!!! Finally....

It's crazy how fast things can change...I guess ever since I met the love of my life I should be use to things happening fast!:)

So I grew up in the Dance Studio it was my 2nd home always!!! I helped my sister run and direct her studios while in high school and helped friends with studios but, I've never had my own! For the past 3 1/2 years I've been putting it off because I know how much work goes into owning a studio, so I've just been renting studio time from other local studios!

With Kalamity growing and my other classes being as dedicated as they are i decided I owe it to my dancers to give them a home away from home like I grew up in of their very own. So when people ask them where they take dance they can say an actual place instead of
"well....I dance with Tia but, at Blah Blah Blah" Also, so Kalamity can have stability and a home they can come to whenever they need to dance and be creative and remember what we dance for!
Last but not least I have an amazing support system my wonderful husband who supports me in everything I do and is willing to make this leap with me, my amazing family of course who is willing to get their hands dirty with me, and my Fam Bam Kalamity who is helping me run the studio so I don't have to live there! They know that my number 1 is to be a mom and thats been my hold up on owning my own studio but with my teams help and our scholarship program Im able to have amazing teachers who Ive trained and dedicated studio managers who will beable to run things the way i want and I can trust to get things done right!!!! Ah, I am truly blessed to have this opportunity!!!
The Vault, is also Andy's training facility for Titanium Inc. athletes!!! So wow, our crazy couple dream has finally come true! We have a dance studio and athletic training facility all in one!!!
He trains Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays and I run dance classes Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturday mornings!!!!

The reason I say it happened so fast is because it did!!! haha....Serioulsy it was one day I told Andy ok I definitley need my own place, he made a phone call to a good friend who gave us a couple spots to look at, 2 days later we went and looked at 3 different spots and fell in love with where we are at, we met with owner the next day and she is such a nice woman that she gave us a KILLER DEAL for location, size 2,000 sq. ft., mirrors already up, and a floor we can dance on!!! Wow, the lord loves me thats all i can say!!! So I talked to the team and we made the decision!!!
My parents are so helpful as well they really believe in me and what i do that they were Kalamity's first sponsor and gave us the money for our deposit!!! I am eternally grateful for their support and love! so the next week we moved in and now we have our own Space and it feels great!!! The feeling in that studio is unreal and is one of a kind it truly is a dancers home!!!

We are in our 3rd week of business and its awesome!!! We've already made rent for the month and I couldn't be happier!!! I told the girls as long as we can make rent and keep the home alive Im happy!!!! I am so proud of my team and all of their hardwork!!!!
