Well if you followed by last blog, you know that football in the Stokes home is ALL YEAR LONG! If it's not training, its coaching, if its not coaching than it's playing, and why not add another position...if it's not playing it's owning a football team!!!! So the past couple years we were involved with the local Semi-Pro football team The ST.George Blitz. Andy played and I was over entertainment and the dancers. Well this past spring after the Blitz took the championship the Blitz folded and with a couple of our good friends we decided to keep the dream alive for all the old men and bring back "Dixie Rebels." We have the same players as the Blitz plus a lot of new great athletes. We also have good Ol Greg Crowshaw as the Head coach who basically is "Dixie Rebels". We are in the same RMFL league, we now just have new owners:) Doug Cook, Wayne Alofipo and The Stokes!!! We are super excited and so far its been fun and lots of little detail work. We had our 1st fundraiser for the team to pay for our league fee and it went really well for our 1st time. We held a mid-night madness flag football tournament from 6pm- 3am at Dixie High. It was freezing but, it really was a great time!!! All the Dixie Chix cam out to help and we had 12 teams out there playin and having a blast!!! They were all like little boys out there!!! It was a fun time!!! So we are super Stoked :) about this season! Season starts the End of March-June. So come out and support your Dixie Rebels!!!!
